How will the local boards make a difference to cutting crime on the ground?
Local Boards are vital in the fight to reduce crime. They are improving co-operation between criminal justice agencies on the ground, identifying weaknesses and removing blockages in the system. Improving joint working between the criminal justice agencies will help to ensure that more criminals are caught and convicted, that victims get a better deal and that communities are properly protected through appropriate punishment for offenders that also seeks to rehabilitate and reduce the chances of further offending.
