The most likely scenario is a hard cut over during a weekend, with an extended downtime as content is migrated. We want to make sure we minimize both personal and institutional downtime, and avoid running two mail systems at the same time. Migrating personal archives will take the most individual time, so we are studying what we can do to optimize that process. One option here would be to migrate desktop clients to Outlook without their personal archives INITIALLY, then come back and migrate the personal archives as time allows. We may also be able to pre-migrate this content. All of this is being tested.
