How will the information provided through the Pesticide Use Reporting System be used?

0

Data from the system will provide accurate pesticide use information to establish use trends and will also be used in the research of health and environmentally related issues. The information may help assess the impact of pest management practices in watersheds and could also replace assumptions made in risk assessments which often assume that applicators are using more pesticides than they actually are. While information on public applications of pesticides on public property (i.e., schools, parks, etc.) will be available to the public, information regarding private use will only be made available to the public in the form of an annual report to be published by ODA. That report will not provide specific information, but will include a summary of aggregated pesticide use information by watershed and county.
