How will the influx of Service Canada staff affect chances of promotion, seniority, etc.?
The two levels of government are reviewing programming and staffing needs to which staff will transfer from Service Canada to the Department of Labour and Workforce Development. The resulting Employee Transfer Agreement will address salaries, benefits, seniority, hours of work and office location. This process has been employed in other provinces and territories where services have transferred from one jurisdiction to another.
