How will the IGSS experience impact admission to college?
We believe that the IGSS student will stand out as unique and highly-prepared for a university education. Through the variety of their classroom and “outside world” experiences, the self-guided nature of their high school experience, and the global issues with which they will have wrestled, the IGSS graduate will present an attractive and intriguing student profile for college admissions offices. The IGSS staff has consulted with and will continue to work with New Trier’s Post-High School Counselling department to ensure that each IGSS student is properly represented to the colleges in which they are interested. Our small graduating class of 2010 is attending a variety of colleges, ranging from large state schools to small liberal arts colleges to prestigious universities.
