How will the Government of Canadas Pakistan Flood Relief Fund work?
For every eligible dollar donated by individual Canadians to registered Canadian charities in response to the July-August floods in Pakistan, the Government of Canada will contribute one dollar to the Pakistan Flood Relief Fund. Registered Canadian charities will use the donations received from individual Canadians to deliver their own relief projects or will forward the donations to another eligible organization with the capacity to deliver humanitarian, early recovery, and reconstruction assistance in Pakistan. The Government of Canada will use the Pakistan Flood Relief Fund to provide assistance through international and Canadian humanitarian and development organizations, using established channels and procedures.
