How will the Food Chain Centre contribute to a better environment?
We believe in finding solutions that are sustainable in every sense of the word. However, our main focus is improving financial sustainability, i.e. profitability. There are many times when financial and environmental sustainability sit hand in hand, for example through efficient distribution. The philosophy enshrined in our mapping and waste reduction projects is fresher, simpler, closer and these sit hand in hand with the emphasis on sustainability.
