How will the Fire Engineer Training Simulator benefit my department?
A. It’s all about being prepared, and training is the key to being prepared. Historically, training engineers consisted of having several fire fighters hold fire hoses and having the student flow water out onto the ground with no benefit of knowing how his/her performance was. Additional training came from the fire ground. Now it is possible to apply the pump theory that is taught is the classroom, to a practical field setting, with the students getting their hands on the pump controls, and get immediate feedback on their performance.
