The role of the TAA is considered essential in ensuring safety and reliability even after Eurocodes are implemented, by ensuring compliance with standards. The current Technical Approval Procedure is in the process of being reviewed to identify amendments required to accommodate the use of Eurocodes. Interim requirements for Technical Approval of highway structures will be published via a new Interim Advice Note.
