A flood risk assessment is being carried out for the site and will conclude any necessary flood mitigation measures. This will determine the extent of flooding for the different return periods (storms), insure that the site will not flood, insure that the site will not be built in the active floodplain, and propose any flood mitigation measures. The flood mitigation measures will not worsen any flooding situation downstream of the site since the designer will ensure that the results of any flood mitigation will be contained within the site boundaries.
