How will the DEIS and the SDEIS impact the US 31 Kokomo Corridor Project?
The DEIS and its supplement (the SDEIS), which studied the alternative routes in detail, describe each in terms of its impact on human and natural environments. These impacts were published so the public can comment on the findings, offer feedback, and participate in the selection process. All of the information gathered from the DEIS and SDEIS studies and subsequent public input was taken into account in the preparation of the Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS). The FEIS identified and recommended a single preferred alternative to the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA).
