How will the customer be invoiced for the service?
Each server in the Akamai network stores precise records regarding the streaming contents that were delivered and when they were delivered. This information, stored individually by each server that delivered the content, is periodically put together in the same database. Using this database, one for each customer, we can analyze the contents volume that was delivered by each server. The customer’s invoice will state the fees for the CVR (Committed Volume Rate) for a particular month and, if applicable, additional fees for the CVR in excess for the previous month and other contracted options.
