The K-4 program will extend the Scope and Sequence of the Core Knowledge curriculum that is currently in place for grades 5-8 (www.coreknowledge.org). The K-4 curriculum is fully aligned with the Delaware Content Standards. Core subjects of reading, language arts, math, science, and social studies will be taught in self-contained classrooms in the K-4 program. In addition, students will go to one specials class each day. Specials will include art, music, library/technology, and physical education. Students will attend group guidance class once each month). Specials teachers in the K-4 program will teach these courses.
