How will the curriculum change in response to the boys and what benefits will there be for the girls?
We have carried out a thorough review of our curriculum, including extra-curricular provision, in order to make it much better for all of our pupils. We are retaining the very best and providing increased opportunities for both boys and girls to prepare them for a different, more flexible world of work in the 21st century. Graphic design will be introduced in Year 7 and there will be a number of clubs introduced to include electronics, music technology and a wider choice of sports. What additional facilities will be needed for the boys? Separate boys’ changing facilities will be situated in the main school building. This will include a changing area, showers, toilets, lockers and ample space to store sports equipment and sports bags. There will be a designated football practice area. Changes will also be made in the swimming pool to provide separate male and female changing facilities. Throughout the school buildings there will also be separate male and female toilets.
