How will the current process change with respect to engaging with and utilizing IT contractor personnel?
As part of the VMS PROGRAM deployment of the web based software (the InSiteĀ® system) that facilitates the process of engaging and utilizing contingent staff, specifically, when a contractor personnel need is identified, the DET Hiring Manager will complete an on-line requisition(RFS) using the InSiteĀ® system. This requisition will then be routed electronically within DET for approval. Once approved, the VMS PROGRAM Team will work with the vendor community to identify and recruit candidates for consideration. The VMS PROGRAM Team will then provide the Hiring Manager with a group of potential candidates, and coordinate the interviewing process. Once an acceptable candidate is selected, the VMS PROGRAM will coordinate the contractor on-boarding prior to their assignment.
