How will the county treasurer know that I received 2009 EPTAP benefits that should be reflected on my 2009 property tax bill?
Even though taxpayers in some cases have not received an individual notification letter from the department regarding their 2009 EPTAP application, the department is notifying the county treasurers of the adjustments that have been made on properties which have been granted benefits under this program. If taxpayers do qualify for tax assistance under the 2009 EPTAP program, the department will notify the appropriate county treasurer of the amount so that the affected taxpayers’ 2009 tax bills will be reduced or adjusted by the approved amounts.
