How will the cord blood be shipped to Progenics and how much will it cost for shipping?
For clients at North York General Hospital, the cord blood will be picked up by Progenics’ staff. There is no extra fee for this service. For all other hospitals, the cord blood will be shipped by Air Logistics, a medical courier company. For hospitals in the GTA, Progenics will pay to have the cord blood picked up at the bedside and shipped to our laboratory by Air Logistics. For locations outside the GTA, Progenics will pay a portion of the courier fees in order to make cord blood banking more affordable for our clients. Please contact Progenics to obtain a quote for the courier fee. Air Logistics provides three levels of courier service for clients to choose from. The highest level of service is strongly recommended in order to maintain the quality of the cord blood.
