The Joint Council for Qualifications is currently reviewing how many controlled assessment tasks must be available for moderation. Once this has been decided, CCEA will inform centres. CCEA is currently reviewing how speaking tasks should be recorded and submitted, CCEA will inform centres of the method to be used. At this stage it is anticipated that cassettes will not be used to record the speaking tasks for this specification. CCEA will also provide guidance on the recording of speaking tasks for candidates who are to be assessed in pairs or small groups.
