At present, groundwater sampling and remediation is being conducted under the authority of EPA Region III in accordance with the Administrative Order of Consent between Chevron Corporation and USEPA. EPA Region III confirmed that Chevron submitted a work-plan to EPAR3 by 4/20/09 regarding the next phase for the project enhancements including: details on the angle wells, oxygen-curtain, and below ground recirculation vault technology.
