How will the containers be recycled?

0

A network of recycling locations has been established across the state. These sites are locationed at chemical dealers or custom pesticide application businesses, and are known as “PPCR Partners”. This network provides individuals the opportunity to recycle their clean, rinsed PPCs at these business locations. Before being accepted all containers will be inspected by site personnel for visible residues. Any unacceptable containers will be returned to the applicator for re-cleaning. The containers are then stored in a secure storage facility at the site to await granulation into chips. • What is acceptable container condition? All plastic pesticide containers must be thoroughly triple-rinsed and free of all pesticide residue inside and out. Staining is acceptable. All label booklets and lids must be removed and discarded. • What types of containers are eligible for the PPCR Program? Only #2 HDPE plastic pesticide containers are accepted for recycling. These range in size from 2 oz. bott
