How will the claims be decided?

0

All claims must include the number and expiration date of the payment card account that you claim was affected, for determination whether the card was processed by Heartland during the Settlement Class Period and evaluation of the claim. It must be your own account. The Claims Administrator will determine, on a “more likely than not” basis, whether your documentation supports your claim, including whether the loss resulted from the Heartland intrusion. There is a process in the settlement to resolve disagreements between you and Heartland over whether you are eligible and how much money you should be reimbursed under the terms of the settlement. You will get further details in the letter you receive from the Claims Administrator about the determination of your claim. The Settlement Agreement, available by clicking here, provides further details.
