How will the City of Brampton control noise?
When complete, the Sandalwood Parkway Transit Facility, with its garage, maintenance and storage areas, will contain noise-reduction measures to ensure the City of Brampton continues to be a good neighbour. Trees will line the front of the property and berming with landscaping will assist in creating a visual and sound barrier on the west side of the property adjacent to the Orangeville Railway Line and the residential community. Based on advice from a noise consultant, plans include interior soundproofing and a noise wall enclosing the exit at Sandalwood Parkway to shield the residential area from noise and visual impacts.
