How will the change to daylight savings time effect file synchronization?
Does it effect the Replicate process? The change of time will only effect a sync or replicate when one file is on a FAT partition and its corresponding file resides on a NTFS partition. In other words, when you are synching FAT and NTFS partitions with each other. If you are synching a FAT partition with a FAT partition, or an NTFS partition with an NTFS partition there will be no effect. The reason for the FAT to NTFS problem is described below. When Windows NT automatically adjusts for daylight savings time, the time stamps on files in the NTFS partitions are shifted forward one hour. This will effect files that were created before the time change occurred. This time shift does not happen on FAT partitions used by Windows NT, Windows 95 or Windows 98. There is no change to the file time stamps on FAT partitions when the time is automatically advanced.
