How will the border crossing work? What papers do I need to come to Mexico?
Guadalupe Canyon Oasis is fortunate to be located in an visa-free zone of Baja California, an area that may be visited without any kind of visa. This makes the border crossings very simple. (If you are planning to travel further into Mexico after visiting us, however, you will need to stop and pick up a travel visa when you cross the border.) To return to the States, you will need to bring either a passport, a receipt for a passport application or a driver’s license and birth certificate to cross the border. You may find more information here. When you’re traveling in Mexico there may be safety check points operated by the Mexican Military. These are normal safety check points that check for weapons and drugs. They may ask you to open your trunk for inspection.
