Within the initial configuration of a 200-bed hospital, UTMB will provide care to women and infants, as well as to burn, transplant and Correctional Managed Care patients. It is not possible to say at this time to say how many beds will be allocated to which service; those decisions will be based on the stability of the infrastructure and patient demand.
