Key changes that have occurred since the last round of Institutional Audit include: • Discipline Audit Trails have been replaced with an audit trail methodology. • The Audit will have a stronger focus on enhancement. • Postgraduate research programmes will be included in the audit • There is a strengthened emphasis on student participation and by the time MMU has its Institutional Audit this may include a student representative on the Audit team. • Changes have been made to the final judgements with the judgement broad confidence becoming confidence. There is also a separation of the judgement on quality and standards. • There is more effective interaction between the audit team and the institution. A QAA Assistant Director will be identified and have contact with the institution up to 6 months before the Audit Visit. • There is greater emphasis on ensuring that the guidance on requirements for preparation for Audit is unambiguous.
