How will the area’s wildlife be impacted by Quarry Preserve?
As evidenced by our continued participation in, and support of, local and regional environmental programs and organizations, we strongly believe in striking a balance between environmental protection and economic development. To protect existing Wildlife on the site, we’ve developed a plan that protects green space and habitats, and provides local wildlife with a corridor allowing them to move from one habitat to another. Additionally, as part of the DRI process, we’ve conducted surveys of existing wildlife and plant species for the entire site and, based on these surveys, we will develop an environmental management plan for the entire site that will be approved by Hernando County and state agencies.
