How will the applied art and design GCSE enable me to develop my interests in art and design ?
The QCA specification for this GCSE, which is used as the basis for each of the specifications published by the awarding bodies, insists that students must have the opportunity to develop their skills in relation to visual language and art materials, techniques and technology. Besides this students must also have the opportunity to develop the skills necessary to work to project briefs. These requirements enable students to develop the fundamental skills for an art and design based career, whilst also exploring their own particular interests in relation to specific art and design media.
