How will the advancements of technologies in FM radio and FM on the web change the radio consumption pattern? Does it have the potential to bring a noticeable change?
A. In South Asia, mobile radio is clearly galloping. Boom in automobile sales has also added on to the popularity of radio. But the fact remains 70 per cent of the listeners are still stationed at home. Most of the listening happens between 7 pm and 10 pm. The second largest group of listeners is stationed in shops. Surely, penetration of technology will happen gradually. But their contribution will be small.
