How will the Academy deal with the issue of primary school children who join the Academy being potentially more advanced in the use of technology?
A. The Academy will ensure that students and staff are equipped with the latest technology such as PDAs and laptops and that staff are fully trained to the necessary levels to ensure there are no gaps in knowledge between staff and students. Another initiative is to invite sixth form students to stay on and train the teachers in ICT and in return the students can study an Open University course using all the Academy’s facilities.
