The California Department of Education’s Child Development Division will sponsor a variety of training opportunities. Information sessions and other professional development opportunities will be provided over the next several years to build familiarity and comfort with the foundations before they are required. Check with the California Preschool Instructional Network (CPIN) (Outside Source) for some of the professional development opportunities in your area. In addition, the California Faculty Initiative project offers opportunities for college faculty to learn about CDD initiatives and publications. Seminars offered throughout California during spring 2008 will focus on the Preschool Learning Foundations.
