Pathology reports being delivered to the correct practice will depend on: • The NHS trust system being configured with accurate practice information. This includes correct GP practice national code, EDI sender/recipient identifier and DTS address – all of which are available via the Tracking Database. Any problems here should be eliminated during initial testing with a practice. • Requests being booked into the pathology clinical system against the correct practice. Clearly written request forms by the practice, and diligence from the laboratory will keep mis-directed reports to a minimum.
