How will students with disabilities and English language learners be accommodated?

0

Most accommodations that have been provided to students with disabilities and English language learners on previous state tests will also be available for the DCAS field test. The field test is an opportunity for students to show how they perform in this new testing format. It is important that as many special needs students participate in the DCAS field test as possible, even if all their accommodations cannot be provided in exactly the same way as on previous state tests. The Department of Education will gather information from students, teachers and administrators to evaluate and make changes to the accommodations for the operational DCAS that will begin in fall 2010.
