How will streetcars operate?
Modern streetcar systems are designed to fit the scale and traffic patterns of the neighborhoods through which it travels. The line is built completely in the pavement of city streets and operates in mixed traffic, just as a traditional streetcar line did. The proposed plan (www.ddot.dc.gov/dcstreetcar) will provide streetcar service throughout the city. Stations will be spaced every to mile.
