How will storm water runoff be treated?
Federal and state laws require that the quantity of any storm water runoff be equal to or less than the predevelopment rate of storm water runoff. Several techniques will be used to address the quality of storm water runoff. These techniques include double silt fences in areas with highly erodable soils, storm water management (SWM) facilities, best management practice (BMP) facilities, low impact development (LID) bio retention ponds, rain barrels, stilling basins, level spreaders, conservation areas, and pervious berms, all as outlined in proffer 7. All storm water runoff is required to meet all governmental regulations. The actual runoff produced from the proposed development will have no more impact than the runoff produced from the existing uses at Rosegill. In fact, it will improve the quality of the runoff currently occurring into Urbanna Creek and the River.
