How will State Road 9B – Phase One construction affect traffic on State Road 9A and U.S. 1?
Most of the construction on this phase of State Road 9B will take place away from traffic; however, restrictions are in place to accommodate motorists on State Road 9A and U.S. 1 during peak travel times. On State Road 9A, no lane closures are allowed during the day, between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. weekdays or weekends. Short duration detours may be necessary during construction of the State Road 9A/9B southbound bridge construction. Advanced notice will be provided to alert motorists of scheduled detours and associated detour routes. On U.S. 1, no lane closures are allowed between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m. and between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. on weekdays. There are no lane restrictions on U.S. 1 on weekends.
