The process will be overseen by the Medical Imaging Accreditation Advisory Committee (MIACC). This committee will be chaired by a fellow of the College and consist of a majority membership of College fellows. Each of the members will be appointed for a defined period which is reviewed on an on-going basis. NATA’s Manager, Medical Imaging will serve as the committee’s secretary and essentially be responsible for administrative matters. The College’s role will be to provide professional and technical support for the program, through the committee. An important aspect of this role is to provide guidance on the applicability and interpretation of accreditation requirements. Accordingly, it is the profession who will oversee the direction of the joint program, whilst keeping in mind the obligations required by ISO and those of NATA.
