How will Sound Transit mitigate for any project impacts?
The Draft EIS will identify measures to mitigate the significant adverse impacts of each project alternative. Minimization and avoidance measures will be considered for all elements of the environment in the Draft EIS. Where impacts cannot be avoided in this stage of design, the Draft EIS will include potential mitigation measures to reduce the overall impacts from each alternative. Mitigation measures are identified along with other project features that would reduce or eliminate impacts. Mitigation measures would be refined through the final design and permitting phase of the light rail line.
