How will SMART911 information be handled during call transfer to another call taker, dispatcher or agency?
Depending on the PSAP, calls with SMART911 data can be transferred to another call taker and maintain the SMART911 information associated with the caller. If a call taker receives a transferred call but the SMART911 information is not visible on the call taker’s workstation, the call taker should press the Resubmit button in their CAD software. This will generate another ANI/ALI search of the SMART911 database to refresh their screen with the current caller’s information.
