How will select soccer prepare a player for a high school team?
Being a member of a select soccer team requires dedication from both players and parents. It is the responsibility of the coach and the parents to keep select soccer fun and enjoyable as well as promote excellent soccer play. Players who enjoy participating at the advanced and competitive level will be better prepared to play in high school. Generally, 80% to 100% of high school soccer team starters played select soccer. Although some select teams play occasionally in winter and summer, sports such as baseball, volleyball, track and basketball are commonly played by select players with little or no conflict. Playing select soccer does not conflict with WIAA rules.
