How will science teachers and certifications fit into the looping plan? How can 9th and 10th grade looping occur for the science teachers who do not have biology and chemistry certification?
Science certification was identified as an issue to be addressed when the looping concept was first discussed. The sequence of science core curricula (biology, chemistry, physics) and the content of the curricula have been designed to prepare our students for the 11th grade Science PSSA. With the PSSA ending soon and the advent of the Keystone exams, we have the opportunity to design and sequence our curricula to meet the varying needs of our students.
