How will school districts be selected to participate in Education 2010?
Education 2010 was launched in the Savannah-Chatham school district in March 2010. Following initial implementation in the Savannah-Chatham school district, phase-in will occur across 14 other pre-identified districts consistent with statistics provided by the GaDOE that outlines the greatest instructional needs among children in DFCS foster care. DFCS will contact the superintendents of each identified school district as phase-in throughout the state occurs over the next few months.
