How will Rita protect herself from injury during any fit she might have at the Playhouse?
Rita’s type of epilepsy means that she has what is called an ‘aura’ before she has a seizure. An aura is a period where a person knows they are about to have a seizure. During the aura Rita usually protects herself by lying on the floor and placing a jumper under her head to protect it from banging against the floor. In the project at the Playhouse she will have cushions and pillows around, and space to lie down.
