How will reporting from KFS be different?
Using capability Cornell has not had before, users will be able to query KFS directly for real-time information, like the ability to see pending entries. Similar to the current system, data from KFS will be extracted nightly and placed in a data warehouse. To get information from the data warehouse, you’ll most likely use Cornell’s new centrally supported tool called Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE). OBIEE is Web-based, meaning you access it through a Web browser and do not need to install software or plug-ins on your computer.
