How will rates for accessorial services be determined?
Certain accessorials such as stair carry, long carry, elevator, piano carry, ATC, tariff appliance servicing and import/export charges have been combined into one charge. A per hundred weight rate (CWT) for packing has been introduced for full packing service, per box rates are being retained for partial packing service but will be modified to eliminate unnecessary/unused box types, bulky charges have been simplified and remaining accessorials remain unchanged with the exception of the overall cost level reductions. • How will the tariff handle fuel surcharges and valuation? Fuel surcharge will still exist in the new tariff and apply exactly as in 400-M. Maximum value protection will be supported in our exceptions tariff to Tariff 2001. • Will we still discount shipments under this new tariff?
