How will pre-existing conditions be handled under health care reform?
A. Pre-existing condition limitations will not apply to any person enrolled in the plan who is younger than 19. Children between the ages of 19 and 25 must have a certificate of creditable coverage to avoid a limit on coverage of pre-existing conditions if there has been a significant break in coverage, a period of more than 62 days in which he did not have health insurance. See page 13 of the 2010 Insurance Benefits Guide for more information.
