How will Post-A-Pooch-Plus promote safe re-homing VS a typical ad in a local publication?
Rescue group volunteers have had input in Post-A-Pooch-Plus, how its website was designed and in how it operates. Post-A-Pooch-Plus offers complete, one-on-one pre-placement counseling to clients. Post-A-Pooch-Plus will teach clients how to screen potential adopters, what to look for during home visits, how to go about checking references, what type of new home environment to consider appropriate depending upon the particular pet, etc. Unlike an ad placed in a local publication which runs for a limited time, a description of the pet with its photo will remain on the Post-A-Pooch-Plus website until the pet is safely re-homed regardless of the time frame. Clients notify Post-A-Pooch-Plus to remove the pet’s listing when and only when the pet is no longer in need of re-homing.
