How will Pernese and foreign vernacular be handled?
Characters will find themselves picking up the native language in leaps and bounds – not instant understanding, but pretty quickly. They may notice they feel tired and mentally overstimulated when they wake up in the mornings the first two weeks or so while at the Weyr. The cause behind this has thusfar remained undisclosed. However, with an influx of different cultures, traditional Pernese names and swearwords have become mixed with the words from other cultures.
