How will participating faculty be compensated, evaluated and rewarded for their contributions to the interdisciplinary venture by their parent departments?
• Provide a full description of any proposed core courses. Letters of support from department chairs and/or deans need to include explicit statements addressing the ability of IDP students to enroll in courses offered through the unit, and addressing the willingness of the unit to continue to offer the courses needed by the program. • Interdepartmental programs involving disciplines that fall in the same school or college are ordinarily deems to be housed administratively in that unit and should be designed in consultation with the appropriate dean. • Interdepartmental programs involving disciplines from different schools/colleges are generally considered to fall under the purview of Rackham itself rather than as housed administratively in a single school/college. This organizational placement requires coordination across the participating units and the Rackham Dean.
