How will overtime be charged?
Overtime is calculated automatically by the system based upon a 40 hour work week, Sunday through Saturday. If an employee has more than one job, the HRF’s of all jobs will need to stay in touch to process Payroll Correcting entries if it is felt that OT was charged incorrectly. Remember, full time hourly employees may reach 40 hours on a Thursday. Any hours worked greater than 40 are subject to OT rules regardless of where it is worked. If a second job causes OT for another Department, then Payroll Correcting Entries may be required. Do not manipulate punched hours in order to allocate Over Time.
